About FiyatList
Updated
FiyatList is a reference site for US prices and costs. We cover what things cost and what jobs pay: home repairs, car maintenance, college tuition, rent, fuel, subscriptions, menu prices, postage, and salaries by occupation and state. Every figure on the site comes with the name of its source and the date we last checked it.
Why we built it
Price information in the US is scattered and goes stale quickly. A search for what a water heater replacement costs or what a nurse earns in Ohio often turns up a page with a single number, no source, and a “2026” label that was added when someone re-saved the article. You can’t tell whether the figure came from a government survey, a contractor’s sales page, or a guess.
We think a price is only useful if you can see where it came from and how old it is. So each FiyatList page shows the data behind it: the source name, a link to the source where one exists, and the date the number last changed. When a figure is an estimate rather than a published price, the page says so.
Where the numbers come from
Much of our data comes from public sources. Wages come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program. College costs come from the Department of Education’s College Scorecard. Household income and rent come from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, and electricity prices from the Energy Information Administration.
For prices set by companies, such as streaming plans, postage, or a new car’s sticker price, we use the company’s own published price pages. For services that have no official price list, like a roof repair or a dental crown, we collect figures from several published cost guides, name each one, and show where they agree and where they don’t.
The full process, including how we handle old data and what each date on a page means, is on our methodology page.
Who runs FiyatList
FiyatList is an independent site. It is not owned by a retailer, contractor network, insurer, or lead-generation company.
FiyatList Editorial Team The editorial team researches, writes, and updates every page on the site. We pull figures from government data releases, companies’ own price pages, and published cost guides, record where each number came from and when we checked it, and give each figure a review date set by how fast that kind of price tends to move. We don’t accept payment for coverage, and we don’t sell your contact details to contractors or lead buyers.
Pages about health care costs cover cost and billing only, use at least two independent sources, and don’t give medical advice. Our editorial policy explains those rules and how we use software tools, including AI, in research and drafting.
How the site makes money
FiyatList is free to read. We earn revenue from display advertising served by Google AdSense.
Advertisers have no say over what we publish. They can’t buy a placement in a price table, change a figure, or ask us to remove a page. Ads appear in marked ad slots and are kept separate from the data and the text. If we ever add affiliate links, we will label them on the page where they appear.
Corrections and contact
Prices change, and we sometimes get things wrong. If you see a figure that’s out of date, a broken source link, or a mistake in a calculation, email us at [email protected]. Tell us the page and what you think is wrong. A source link helps us fix it faster.
When a correction changes a number, the page’s “Updated” date changes with it. More ways to reach us are on the contact page.
