Pokemon Legends Za Price: Retail, Deals & Price History

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is an action role-playing game set in Lumiose City, released on 16 October 2025. It comes in two versions. The original Switch version also runs on the Switch 2, and a Switch 2 Edition adds better performance, higher resolution and a higher frame rate. Because there are two editions, an upgrade pack and a DLC expansion, the total depends on which route you take.

The prices here are Nintendo's list figures as shown on Deku Deals, checked on Oct 13, 2026. Retailers often sell the game for less, but those discounts are temporary and vary by store. Treat the list price as the baseline.

Pick the edition that matches your console. If you own a Switch 2, you have two ways to get the improved version: buy the Switch 2 Edition outright, or buy the Switch version and add the upgrade pack.

The Switch version is $59.99, and the Switch 2 Edition is $69.99. The Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack, which upgrades a Switch copy, is $9.99. Adding the upgrade pack to the Switch version comes out to within a cent of buying the Switch 2 Edition directly, so the choice mostly depends on whether you want a physical or digital copy and whether you might sell the game later.

The Mega Dimension DLC adds new story content after the main game. It is sold alone, and a bundle combines it with the Switch 2 Edition.

The Switch 2 Edition plus the Mega Dimension DLC is $99.99 as a bundle, and the DLC alone is $29.99. Compare the bundle against the two separate prices before buying. The bundle may make sense if you want both, while buying the base game first is better if you are not sure you will like it.

At launch, Nintendo sold a Switch 2 bundle that included a digital download of the Switch 2 Edition.

That bundle had a launch price of $499.99. The Switch 2 console price rose on 1 September 2026, so a new bundle, if one is on sale, may cost more than the launch figure. Check the current listing before you rely on the older number.

• Edition. The Switch 2 Edition costs more than the Switch version.
• Format. Physical and digital copies are sold at the same list price, though retailers may discount one more than the other.
• Retailer promotions. Stores like Amazon, Best Buy and Target sometimes discount first-party games. Discounts end, so watch the final price at checkout.
• Bundles. The base game plus DLC bundle may cost less than buying each item separately.
• Console cost. A new Switch 2 adds to the total if you do not own one.

If you own a Switch 2, the Switch 2 Edition is the simple choice. It gives you the improved performance without extra steps. If you own an original Switch, the Switch version is the only one that runs on it. If you plan to upgrade later, buying the Switch version and adding the upgrade pack spreads the cost over time and lands at about the same total.

If you are a collector, physical copies hold resale value better than digital. If you value convenience and storage on the console, digital is easier. Check your console's free storage, since digital games take space.

The game is a single-player adventure with real-time battles, which is a change from earlier Pokemon games. Players who like action-focused play will find it a good fit, and those who prefer turn-based battles may not. Check reviews to see whether the style suits you before you pay full price. Waiting for a retailer discount is reasonable, though no source guarantees one.

Nintendo's US store, major retailers and game stores sell both editions. Check the product page for the words "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" if that is what you want, because the two versions have similar names. Look at the return policy for digital purchases, which is often stricter than for physical games.
