S24 Ultra Price: Retail, Deals & Price History

The Galaxy S24 Ultra was Samsung's top phone for 2024, with a titanium frame, a built-in stylus and a long-zoom camera. Samsung has since released newer Ultra models, which means the S24 Ultra is no longer the phone to buy new at full price. People searching for its price are usually after one of two numbers: what it cost at launch, or what a used one costs now.

Those are separate figures, and mixing them gives the wrong picture. A launch price is historical. A used or refurbished price is the one you can actually pay today.

Launch pricing came in three storage tiers. TechRadar lists all three, and GSMArena reported a rounded version on launch day.

Those numbers were Samsung's list prices before any trade-in credit, carrier deal or store discount. Most buyers in 2024 paid less through promotions, and nobody pays list price for the phone now.

The used market is where the phone sits today. The figures below come from UpTrade and were checked on Oct 14, 2026. They are for the 256GB model in refurbished or used condition.

A refurbished phone has been inspected and cleaned, usually with a short warranty or return window. A used phone from a private seller has no such guarantee. Condition grades like "Fair" and "Excellent" describe cosmetic wear, and the better grades cost more.

The same retailer tracks a general market price month by month. The figures show how the price moved after the phone left the new-phone market.

Prices moved within a fairly narrow band over the period shown. That suggests the market for this phone has settled, though it can still shift when Samsung releases a new model or when carriers change trade-in offers.

• Storage. The 256GB model is the cheapest. Larger sizes cost more.
• Condition. Cosmetic grade changes the price. Screen burn, battery wear and deep scratches matter most.
• Carrier lock. A carrier-locked phone may cost less than an unlocked one, but it may not work on other networks. Check before buying.
• Seller. Refurbishers who offer a warranty usually charge more than private sellers.
• Timing. Prices may react when a new Samsung model appears or when carriers change trade-in offers.

For many buyers, yes. The phone is a few years old and still has a large screen, a strong camera system and years of software updates still ahead. The retailer's listing estimates the update window runs to 2031, but that is an estimate and Samsung sets the real policy, so check it before buying.

Compare against newer phones that are on sale. If a recent model costs not much more, it may be a better deal. If the used S24 Ultra is clearly cheaper, it can still make sense.

Samsung's newer Ultra phones cost more new, and the older S24 Ultra is the way to get the same design at a lower price. The tradeoff is age. A newer model brings a fresh battery, a full warranty and a longer run of updates, while a used S24 Ultra brings savings and some wear.

If your budget is firm, price the S24 Ultra against the older Ultra from a year earlier too. Gaps between used generations are often small, so the newer one can be the better pick when the difference is small. Check the same retailer on the same day so the comparison is fair.
