Mustang RTR Price: MSRP, Trims & Real-World Cost

RTR is the performance and styling brand tied to drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. A Mustang RTR is a Mustang GT that has been fitted with RTR body parts, suspension components, wheels and badging. Most of the lineup is priced as an add-on to the GT, which means the first number you see on RTR's site is not what you pay at the dealer.

To estimate the full price of a Mustang RTR, add two figures: the price of the Mustang GT it is built on, and the RTR package price for the spec you want. Taxes, registration, destination and dealer fees come after that. The one exception is the Spec 5, which RTR prices as a complete car with the GT included.

RTR sells several specs, and the entry-level one is the least expensive. Spec 2 is the headline package price above. Spec 3 adds a supercharger and other hardware, and its package price is listed below as of Oct 13, 2026.

Read the word "above" carefully. RTR Vehicles describes the Spec 3 figure as a starting price above the Mustang GT base vehicle, so it does not include the GT itself.

Because Spec 2 and Spec 3 are built from a GT, the GT's price is part of your total. The table lists the 2026 Mustang GT prices published by MotorTrend. Pick the body style and trim you want, then add the RTR package price from the section above.

As an example of the arithmetic, a GT Fastback at $49,795 plus the Spec 2 package at $18,995 gives a combined starting figure before destination, taxes and options. The same GT with the Spec 3 package at $33,995 lands much higher. Check with the selling dealer whether the GT price they quote already includes the destination charge, since published lists differ on this.

The Spec 5 is the top car in the RTR lineup. Unlike the lower specs, its price includes the Mustang GT, so the figure is the whole starting cost of the car. RTR also lists paint and equipment options on the Spec 5 page.

RTR notes on its Spec 5 page that the car is not available for sale in California. Confirm availability in your state before you plan a purchase.

• GT trim and body style. A GT Premium or a convertible costs more than a base GT fastback, and that difference carries into the RTR total.
• RTR spec. Each step up adds hardware, so the package price rises with it.
• Paint. Standard colors are included. Premium paint and paint-to-sample cost extra on the Spec 5.
• Dealer markup or discount. Because RTR cars are limited-production, some dealers add to the price, while others sell near the sum of the parts.
• Fees and taxes. Destination, documentation, sales tax and registration are not part of any figure on this page.
• Financing. RTR packages added to a vehicle may or may not be rolled into a single loan, so ask the lender how the combined price is handled.

RTR sells through a dealer network. Its site has a dealer map and a nationwide inventory search. Calling a participating dealer is the practical way to learn whether they can order a specific spec, how long the wait is, and how they handle the donor GT. Ask whether the GT is ordered new from Ford for your build or whether the dealer is using a vehicle already on the lot, because that changes which GT trim and color you can get.

1. Is the quoted price the RTR package only, the package plus the GT, or the out-the-door total?
2. Which GT trim is the car built on, and is that trim priced in the quote?
3. What does the warranty cover on the RTR parts versus the base Ford vehicle? Get the terms in writing.
4. Which options are included in the price, such as the RTR wheels and interior, and which cost extra?
5. What are the dealer documentation fee and any market adjustment?
6. How long until delivery, and does a deposit apply?

RTR's earlier packages were priced differently, and older model years are sometimes confused with current ones. The 2025 Spec 1 listed on RTR's site was an add-on to a GT or an EcoBoost, which is a lower tier than the current lineup.

Use the 2025 figure only to compare how the program has changed. It does not apply to a 2026 order.
