PSA Grading Price Guide: Current Values & Sales
Standard grading fee
$59.99 each
PSA's Standard service costs $59.99 each per card, for cards with a declared value up to the Standard limit.
PSA does not charge one flat price. The fee for grading a card rises with the service level, and the service level is set by two things: how fast you want the card back and how much the card is worth. A common card sent on the slowest tier costs a small fraction of what a high-value card costs on a premium tier.
The figures below come from PSA's trading card grading pricing page, with a few tiers and the price history from a third-party tracker. PSA changes its fee schedule from time to time, so check the current fee schedule on psacard.com before you submit. Figures were checked Oct 12, 2026.
How much does PSA grading cost per card?
The lowest tier on the list is Standard at $59.99 each per card, according to PSA. It is meant for cards with a declared value up to a set limit. Higher tiers cost more and carry higher declared-value limits.
The fee is per card, and it is only the grading charge. Shipping to PSA, return shipping, insurance, and any membership or handling fees are separate.

Each tier shows the maximum declared value it accepts. The declared value is what you state a card is worth when you submit it, and PSA uses it to decide which tier you must choose. If a card's market value is above a tier's limit, you cannot use that tier for it, even if you would rather pay less.
Turnaround times shift with demand, so check the current estimate on PSA's site rather than relying on an old article.
Price history
PSA has raised prices in the past. One recent change affected the Express tier.

A fee you saw a few months ago may no longer apply. If a forum post or video quotes a different price, it may predate an increase.
What determines which tier you pay
- Declared value. The card's worth sets the minimum tier you may use.
- Speed. Faster tiers cost more per card.
- Card type. Vintage, modern, oversized, and non-sport cards can have separate rules, so confirm in the fee schedule.
- Submission rules. Check the fee schedule for quantity and card-type requirements that apply to the service you want.
Costs beyond the grading fee
The tier price is rarely your whole cost. Plan for:
- Shipping the cards to PSA and insured return shipping.
- Protective supplies, such as sleeves, semi-rigid holders, and a sturdy box.
- Any membership or submission fees that apply to the service you choose.
Is grading worth it?
Grading makes sense when the fee is small compared with what a grade could add to the card's value. For a low-value card, the fee can exceed what the grade adds. That depends on the card and the market, so look up recent sold listings for graded copies before you submit. This guide does not predict grades or resale prices.
Tips for submitting
Declare an honest value, since the tier you choose depends on it. Check the current fee schedule on the day you submit, since tiers and limits change. Photograph the cards before you ship. Keep your order number and track the package.
Matching a card to a tier
Work backward from what the card is worth. Look up recent sold listings for the same card, decide on an honest declared value, and then find the tier whose limit covers it. Using the cheapest tier that accepts the card keeps the fee down, and moving up a tier only makes sense when you want a faster turnaround or the card's value requires it.
A card valued close to a tier limit deserves extra care. Market prices move, and a card that sits just under a limit today could cross it by the time you submit. Check the fee schedule on the day you send the order, and confirm the tier limits at that time.
Sending a batch
The per-card fee multiplies across every card in an order, so a batch adds up quickly. Ten cards on the Standard tier cost ten times the Standard fee before shipping. Before you ship a batch, sort the cards by value and consider whether cards of very different values belong on different tiers. A single high-value card on a premium tier does not require the rest of the batch to pay that rate.
