Patek Philippe Price: Retail vs Market Value

Updated  5 sources

Aquanaut steel list price

$27,257

Patek Philippe makes watches across several collections, so a single "Patek price" does not exist. The Aquanaut and Nautilus are the sports watches with integrated bracelets, the Calatrava is the dress watch, and the Complications and Grand Complications sit at the top of the range. Case metal changes the price too: a steel watch and a rose gold one in the same collection are priced very differently.

Patek is unusual among luxury brands because it lowered US prices rather than raising them. According to Luxury Bazaar, Patek cut its US list prices on 1 February 2026, and the figures below reflect the lower list. The coverage ties the move to a change in US tariffs on Swiss imports, though Patek did not necessarily say so itself. List prices can shift again, so confirm a number with an authorized Patek retailer before relying on it.

Patek Philippe price by model

The table covers a spread of current references. Each row is a US list price after the February 2026 change, as reported by Luxury Bazaar.

The table is a sample, so a reference may be absent even though it is still in production. The Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in platinum is the most expensive row and shows how steeply the range climbs once complications and precious metals are involved.

Aquanaut price

The steel Aquanaut Date is the model at the top of this page, and rose gold and white gold versions are priced well above it. The white gold Aquanaut "Jumbo" 5168G lists at $57,890, and the rose gold Date 5167R-001 lists at $53,514. The rose gold watch costs far more than the steel one.

Nautilus price

The Nautilus is Patek's best-known sports watch. The Nautilus Date with sweep seconds in white gold, the 5811/1G-001, lists at $82,021. A steel Nautilus Annual Calendar, the 5726/1A-014, lists at $62,766, and the ladies' steel Nautilus 7118/1A-001 lists at $35,884. The classic steel 5711 is no longer in production, so it shows up only on the pre-owned market.

Calatrava price

The Calatrava is the entry point for the brand's dress watches. The steel Weekly Calendar 5212A-001 lists at $43,136, which is a complication watch and not a time-only Calatrava. A general estimate for the collection from Grailr appears in the next table.

Estimates from other sources

Published guides sometimes quote entry and top prices for each collection. These are less precise than reference-level list prices, because they combine different materials and complications.

Estimates by source

Item Typical range Relative price range
Calatrava, entry to top retail $22,000 – $205,000
Aquanaut, entry to top retail $27,000 – $75,000

The Grailr ranges run from an entry watch to a top-priced one within each collection. They do not match the reference-level list prices above row for row, since they cover different references and may be based on earlier price lists. Use them only to get a sense of scale.

Patek Philippe secondary market prices

Patek's sports models have long traded above list on the pre-owned market. The figures below are Loupe market values on 14 October 2026 and describe the market on that day. They are not prices you can count on paying.

Secondary market

Item Price
Nautilus 5811/1G-001 market value (Loupe, 14 Oct 2026) $153,485
Aquanaut 5167A-001 market value (Loupe, 14 Oct 2026) $78,355
Nautilus 5711/1A-010 (discontinued) market value (Loupe, 14 Oct 2026) $131,541

The discontinued steel Nautilus 5711/1A-010 has the highest market value of the steel watches listed here, and the Aquanaut 5167A-001 also trades well above its list price. Condition, the box and papers, and the age of the watch all change what a seller can ask, and a high number on a listing does not make a watch worth that amount.

Why Patek prices change

Several things move a list price: tariffs on Swiss imports, the cost of gold and platinum, and the brand's own decisions. Patek's February 2026 reduction is a reminder that the direction is not always up. Because a decrease can reverse, a price quoted in a guide may differ from the boutique price today.

Buying a Patek Philippe

New Patek watches are sold through authorized retailers and Patek boutiques, and availability for popular sports models can be limited. If you buy pre-owned, use a reseller with its own authentication and a return policy. Patek issues an Extract from the Archives that confirms a watch's original details, which is worth asking about when you buy an older watch. Verify the reference number and serial number against the papers.
