Gemini Price: Plans, Monthly Cost & Price History

Gemini is free to use with a Google account, so the price question is really about Google's paid plans. Google sells higher usage limits and extra features through a ladder of subscriptions, and separate per-seat plans for businesses. The right one depends on how often you hit the free limits and whether the subscription is for you or for a team.

Prices on this page come from Google, checked on Oct 13, 2026. Google changes plan names, limits, and prices fairly often, so confirm the amount on Google's Gemini subscriptions page before you sign up.

Google lists three paid consumer plans, along with the free tier. Each paid plan raises how much you can use Gemini compared with the free version.

Google AI Plus is the lowest paid step at $4.99/mo. Google AI Pro costs $19.99/mo and is the plan most people mean when they ask what a Gemini subscription costs. Google AI Ultra starts at $99.99/mo and is meant for the most intensive use. The Ultra price is labeled "starting at" on Google's page, so the final amount may depend on the version you choose.

Which consumer plan fits you?

• Free: enough for occasional questions and drafts, with the lowest usage limits.
• AI Plus: a small step up if you want more room but do not use Gemini all day.
• AI Pro: the middle plan for regular use, and the one this page treats as the standard paid option.
• AI Ultra: for people who rely on Gemini heavily and regularly run into limits on the lower plans.

Google describes the plans mainly by how much more access they give compared with the free tier. Read the plan descriptions on Google's page to see which features come with each one, since those bundles change.

Businesses buy Gemini per user. The prices are a starting point, and larger organizations can negotiate through Google's sales team.

The entry business plan starts at $21/mo, and the enterprise plan starts at $30/mo, both per user. Both prices are listed as starting amounts, so your actual price can depend on contract terms, the size of the team, and the admin features you need. These are separate from the consumer plans, and they use work accounts managed by an administrator.

Yes, the basic Gemini experience costs nothing with a Google account. The free tier has lower usage limits than the paid plans, and Google can change which models and features it includes. A paid plan makes sense when you keep running out of access, or you need features that Google reserves for subscribers.

• Start on the free tier and upgrade only when limits get in your way.
• Move up one plan at a time. The jump from Plus to Pro and from Pro to Ultra is large, so test the step below before you commit.
• Look at what else comes with the plan. If you already pay for Google storage separately, a plan that bundles it may replace that cost.
• Watch for introductory offers. Google sometimes offers trial periods or discounts to new subscribers, which can change your first bill but not the list price.

Sales tax may be added, and prices can differ outside the United States. If you sign up through an app store, the store's price and billing rules apply. A work or school account may already include Gemini features at no personal cost, so check with your administrator before paying for your own plan.
