The standard certificate is domain validated, or DV, which confirms that you control the domain. GoDaddy offers it in three levels of service, priced per month on a 3-year term.

The basic certificate is $5.99/mo. You install and manage it yourself. The automated version is $7.99/mo and adds AI-assisted installation and automated re-installation. The managed version is $9.99/mo, and GoDaddy installs the certificate and handles maintenance for you.

A wildcard certificate covers one domain plus its subdomains, such as a shop or blog address under the same name.

The basic wildcard certificate is $28.99/mo and the automated wildcard is $34.99/mo. Both are priced on a 3-year term and cost far more per month than the single-site certificates above.
