Ifit Membership Cost: Membership Prices, Fees & Plans

iFIT is the workout subscription behind many NordicTrack, ProForm, and Freemotion machines. It provides a library of trainer-led workouts that can adjust your equipment, and it also works on a phone or tablet with some Bluetooth-enabled equipment. You pay for the membership separately from the machine, so the monthly fee is a running cost on top of whatever you paid for the treadmill, bike, or rower.

iFIT has two memberships. iFIT Train costs $15/mo. iFIT Pro costs $39/mo.

iFIT Train vs. iFIT Pro

The right plan depends on the equipment you own.

• iFIT Train: Works on your phone or tablet and pairs with Bluetooth-enabled, iFIT-ready equipment that has no built-in screen. It is the cheaper option for people with simpler machines or no machine at all.
• iFIT Pro: Made for equipment with built-in touchscreens from NordicTrack, ProForm, and Freemotion. If your machine has a large screen, Pro is the plan designed for it. NordicTrack says Pro supports up to five user profiles.

Check the plan your machine requires before you pay. If your equipment has a built-in touchscreen, Train may not give you the full on-screen experience.

Paying yearly costs less than twelve monthly payments, according to the same comparison. iFIT Train costs $144/yr per year, and iFIT Pro costs $396/yr per year.

Annual billing is a larger payment up front. It suits owners who already use their equipment several times a week. If you are still deciding whether the habit will stick, a monthly plan lets you stop sooner, although you will pay more per month.

• Equipment bundles: Some machines come with a period of iFIT membership included. Check what your purchase covers and note the date the paid plan begins.
• Taxes: Sales tax may be added depending on your state.
• Where you sign up: Subscribing through an app store or a retailer can follow different billing terms than signing up on iFIT's own site.
• Promotions: Introductory discounts are temporary. Read the renewal price before accepting.

If you own a machine that depends on iFIT for its screen and workouts, the membership is effectively part of the cost of using it the way it was designed. In that case, compare the annual price with the monthly price and pick whichever matches how long you plan to keep the machine.

If you have a simple machine and a phone, Train costs far less than Pro and may be enough. If you mostly like your own routines, a membership may not add much beyond what you already do.
