Fitbit Price: Retail, Deals & Price History

Fitbit devices are now sold through the Google Store. The lineup spans slim activity bands, fitness trackers, full smartwatches, and a watch for kids. What you pay depends on which type you choose, and a few models carry extra costs, such as a subscription.

This page lists current list prices for each Fitbit in the Google Store. Some devices were out of stock or only available to pre-order when the prices were checked, so the product page is worth a look before you plan a purchase.

The Google Fitbit Air is the newest entry level band, listed from $99.99. The Fitbit Inspire 3 is $99.95, and the Charge 6 is $159.95. For a screen with more apps and features, the Versa 4 is $199.95 and the Sense 2 is $249.95.

Two other models are listed separately. The Fitbit Ace LTE is a kids smartwatch at $179.95, and it was shown as out of stock on the Google Store. The Google Fitbit Edge starts at $179.99, and it was available for pre-order at the time of the check.

Among the trackers, the Inspire 3 and the Fitbit Air are close in price, with the Air listed from $99.99. Both are simple bands meant for tracking steps, sleep, and activity rather than running apps. If you want a display with more detail, the Charge 6 sits in the middle of the range.

The Ace LTE is built for children, and it needs a data plan to use its connected features. Plans are bought inside the Ace app during setup.

The Ace Pass costs $9.99/mo on a monthly plan, or $119/yr on an annual plan. Add that cost to the watch price when you budget, since the watch has limited function without a plan. Check the product page for what each plan includes.

Beyond the device, several things can raise the total:

• Subscription. Google offers a premium health membership with coaching, and some features need it. Fitbit's core tracking works without one, but confirm what your model requires.
• Bands and accessories. Replacement and style bands are sold separately for most models.
• Financing. The Google Store offers monthly payments on several Fitbit models. Financing spreads out the cost but does not change the list price.
• Sales. Retailers run discounts on older Fitbit models, particularly around shopping events, so a lower price than the list is possible.

Stock changes, so a model that is unavailable today may return, and a pre-order date can move. Read the product page for shipping information. If you are buying for a child, check the Ace LTE requirements in the Ace app first, since it relies on a paid plan. If you already own a Fitbit, compare the newer model's features with what you use, because upgrading only makes sense if the extra features matter to you.

Bands are light and tend to be less expensive. Smartwatches add a larger display and more features, and they cost more. If you wear a watch to bed for sleep tracking, a lighter band may be more comfortable. If you want notifications and apps on your wrist, the Versa or Sense is closer to what you want. Match the device to what you use daily instead of paying for features you will skip.
