M340I Price: MSRP, Trims & Real-World Cost

The M340i is the middle rung of BMW's 3 Series performance ladder: faster than the regular 340i variants and short of the full M3. For 2026 it comes as a sedan in a few close variations. For 2027 BMW is changing the name.

BMW also built a 2026 M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition with a stated MSRP of $75,200, per BMW Group. That sits well above the standard trims. For this edition, BMW lists a destination and handling charge of $1,175.

This destination figure applies to that edition. Destination can differ by model, so do not assume the same charge for every M340i trim. The trim prices in the first table come from MotorTrend and its listing does not break out destination, so ask a dealer for the delivered figure.

For 2027 the M340i is succeeded by the M350. The 2027 BMW M350 xDrive is listed at $67,250, per MotorTrend. That figure comes from a first-look article, and whether it includes destination is not clear. Confirm the final price with BMW or a dealer.

If you were planning to buy an M340i, you now have a timing decision. Buying the 2026 means choosing a car with a known price. Waiting means a new name and a higher listed starting point.

• Destination. Ask whether it is in the number you are given.
• Dealer fees and markups on cars in demand.
• Taxes, title and registration, which depend on your state.

Buyers who like the M340i name have a decision to make. The 2026 car is available now at known prices, and dealers may be motivated to clear model-year inventory. The M350 is a different name and a higher listed starting point, and its details may change before it reaches showrooms.

If you want to see both, ask a BMW dealer whether an M350 order guide is open, and when deliveries are expected. Do not pay a deposit until you understand whether it is refundable.
