Mercedes SUV Price: MSRP, Trims & Real-World Cost

Updated  8 sources

Cheapest Mercedes SUV

$43,200

Mercedes-Benz sells SUVs in nearly every size, from the compact GLA to the G-Class, and several come in gasoline, hybrid, and electric forms. A single "Mercedes SUV price" does not exist, so this page lays out where each model starts and why two numbers for the same car can differ.

Most prices below are starting MSRP figures from Mercedes-Benz USA's model pages. Those figures exclude the destination charge. Two entries, the GLA and GLB, come from Car and Driver's lineup page and are listed prices that include destination, so they are labeled that way in the table and should not be compared with the others without adjusting for the difference.

Starting MSRP by model

GLC 300 SUV starting MSRP $52,400

Compact SUVs: GLA and GLB

The GLA-Class is the entry point. Car and Driver lists the 2027 GLA at $43,200 with destination included. The 2026 GLB-Class is listed at $45,150 on the same basis.

Both of these figures include destination, so a pre-destination price for either one would be lower. Ask a dealer for the MSRP line on these two if you need a pre-destination figure.

Mid-size SUVs: GLC and GLE

The GLC is the volume model in the middle of the range. The GLC 300 SUV starts at $52,400, and the plug-in version, the GLC 350e 4MATIC SUV, is $62,700. The performance-oriented AMG GLC 53 4MATIC+ SUV is $69,900.

Mercedes also lists an electric GLC, the GLC 400 4MATIC Electric SUV, at $63,500.

Moving up a size, the GLE 350 4MATIC SUV starts at $68,400, and the AMG GLE 53 HYBRID SUV is $97,000. The jump between the two GLE entries is large, so decide early whether you want the AMG version.

Three-row and flagship: GLS and G-Class

The GLS 450 4MATIC SUV starts at $93,950. It is the largest regular SUV in the lineup.

The G-Class occupies the top tier. The G 550 SUV is $153,900, the G 580 Electric SUV is $163,750, and the AMG G 63 SUV is $198,750. Each step up the G-Class ladder adds a substantial amount, and the electric G sits between the gasoline G 550 and the AMG model.

Electric SUVs

Besides the GLC electric and G 580, Mercedes lists two larger electric SUVs. The EQE 320+ SUV starts at $64,950, and the EQS 400 4MATIC SUV starts at $89,950. The EQS is the more expensive of the two.

Electric models can qualify for tax incentives or state programs, but eligibility changes over time and depends on your situation. Check current rules with the IRS or your state before you count on one.

Destination, tax, and options

The starting prices from Mercedes-Benz USA do not include destination. Destination is a separate charge on every new Mercedes, and the amount varies by model. Add it, then options, then tax, title, and registration to get a realistic total.

Options matter a lot on this brand. Packages for premium audio, driver assistance, wheel sizes, and interior upgrades are priced individually, and a well-equipped SUV can cost much more than the starting price. Ask for the window sticker of the exact vehicle.

What affects the price you pay

  • The model and trim you choose.
  • Whether it is a gasoline, plug-in hybrid, or electric version.
  • Option packages and AMG upgrades.
  • Dealer discounts or markups, which depend on supply and local demand.
  • Incentives, financing, and lease terms offered at the time.

Choosing where to start

If you want the lowest price, start with the GLA or GLB and then compare against the GLC 300, which is the least expensive of the mid-size models. If you need a third row, the GLS is the model to price. If you want an electric SUV, compare the GLC electric, EQE, and EQS side by side, since their prices differ widely.

Get written quotes from more than one dealer, and ask each to confirm whether destination is included in the figure.
