Porsche GT3 Price: MSRP, Trims & Real-World Cost

Updated  3 sources

Base MSRP

$235,800

The 911 GT3 is Porsche's track-focused 911, and buyers who ask what it costs usually hit the same snag: the base price is not what ends up on the invoice. Porsche's US configurator breaks the total into four lines, and two of them are fees that apply to every GT3.

The prices here are read from Porsche's own configurator pages for the 2027 model year. They show base MSRP with no optional equipment, which is how Porsche presents the starting point.

Price by trim

Item Price
2027 Porsche 911 GT3 base MSRP $235,800
2027 Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package base MSRP $235,800
2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C base MSRP $273,000

GT3, GT3 Touring, and GT3 S/C

The GT3 and the GT3 with Touring Package have the same base MSRP, $235,800 and $235,800. The Touring Package is a different build of the same car, but Porsche does not charge a different base price for it in the configurator.

The GT3 S/C is a separate configuration priced at $273,000. It costs more than the other two, and Porsche lists it as its own model in the configurator rather than as a package.

Two fees that apply to a GT3

The configurator adds two lines on top of base MSRP for the GT3.

Fees and options

Item Price
Gas guzzler tax on 911 GT3 $1,700
Delivery, processing and handling fee $2,350

Source: Porsche USA: 2027 911 GT3 configurator

The first is a gas guzzler tax of $1,700, which applies because of the car's fuel economy. The second is the delivery, processing and handling fee of $2,350. Together they raise the total above the base figure, and Porsche shows the combined number as total MSRP.

To see what you would pay before options, read the base price and then add both fees. This page does not do the addition for you, because the final total depends on whichever equipment you choose.

What the configurator excludes

Porsche's notice says the total MSRP excludes taxes, title, registration, other optional or regionally required equipment, dealer charges, and any potential tariffs. Actual selling prices are set by dealers.

That last point matters for the GT3. Demand for track-oriented cars can lead dealers to ask more than the sticker, though that varies by dealer and by allocation. Ask directly whether the quoted price matches the invoice or includes a markup.

Is the GT3 a good use of money?

That depends on what you want from the car. The GT3 costs more than the standard 911 Carrera models, and much of what it adds is aimed at track driving. A buyer who mainly wants a comfortable daily 911 may find a lower-priced model fits better, while a buyer who plans to drive on a circuit gets more from the GT3 than the price gap alone suggests.

Think about running costs as well. Performance tires, brakes, and insurance on a car like this can add up over time, and they are not part of any price on this page. Ask a Porsche service department for typical maintenance costs on a GT3 before you decide.

Ways the price changes

  • Optional equipment, which is priced separately from base MSRP.
  • Dealer markups or fees, which are outside Porsche's published numbers.
  • Taxes, title, and registration in your state.
  • Model year, since this page covers 2027 only.
  • Which version you pick: GT3, GT3 Touring, or GT3 S/C.

Buying tips

  1. Ask your Porsche retailer how allocations for the GT3 work and whether you can place an order.
  2. Get the quote in writing, listing base MSRP, equipment, gas guzzler tax, delivery, and any dealer charge.
  3. Confirm that the car is a 2027 model, since this page covers that model year.
  4. Compare financing before you sign, including from a credit union.
  5. Have your insurer quote the car before you commit, because premiums for performance cars can be high.
