Great Wolf Lodge Day Pass Cost: Prices, Fees & Ways to Save

A day pass gives you water park access without booking a room. It is a way to try the indoor water park for a day, whether you live nearby or are visiting the area. Great Wolf Lodge lists its day pass prices as "from" prices. That means the figure you see is the lowest price at that lodge, and your date may cost more.

Great Wolf's day pass pages do not show a revision date, and the company says availability is limited. Confirm the price for your lodge and date at greatwolf.com before you plan.

Each lodge sets its own starting price. Prices vary by day, so a weekend or holiday date can be higher than the figure shown here.

The range across these lodges is small, but it still matters for a large family. A group of five at a lodge with the higher starting price pays noticeably more than the same group at a lodge with the lower one. Compare the lodge nearest you with any that are within driving distance.

According to Great Wolf's day pass page, every pass includes:

• unlimited use of the indoor water park
• access to attractions throughout the lodge
• a daily lineup of family events
• life jackets and towels
• WiFi throughout the lodge

Dining and dry-land attractions cost extra. The company says outside food and coolers are not allowed, so plan to buy food on site. Lockers rent for a daily fee. Day pass guests cannot add attraction or dining packages to the pass.

A day pass is not a room. You do not get a suite for breaks, a private bathroom, or storage, and you cannot stay overnight. Evening activities such as story time and character meet-ups are listed as benefits of an overnight stay, not of a day pass.

Passes are non-refundable and all sales are final, according to Great Wolf. Children aged 2 and under are free, but they still need to be included in your reservation. Read the terms on your lodge's page, since policies can differ.

Some lodges charge for parking on top of the pass. At the Minneapolis lodge, for example, the day pass page lists a parking fee of $10 per reservation, with an extra charge for a second vehicle. Other lodges may have different rules, so check the parking line on your lodge's page before you book.

Food is the other big add-on. Since outside food is not allowed, a family of four eating lunch on site can add a substantial amount to the day. Lockers add a small fee. Budget for these before you decide whether the pass is worth it.

A day pass costs less up front, but a room unlocks more time in the water park, a place to rest, and evening events. If you live within driving distance and want a single day of swimming, the pass is simpler. If you are traveling a long way, an overnight stay may be better value, because it spreads the travel cost over more time in the park.

• Choose a quieter date. Prices are date-based, so a weekday outside school holidays may cost less.
• Book early. Passes can sell out, and sold-out dates cannot be selected.
• Look at season passes. Great Wolf also offers a season pass for unlimited visits. If you plan several trips, compare the total with the cost of repeated day passes.
• Check deals. The company lists offers and discounts on its site. Read the terms before you rely on one.
