Starz Subscription Price: Plans, Monthly Cost & Price History

Starz is a premium streaming service known for original dramas such as Outlander and the Power series, along with a rotating library of Hollywood movies. You can subscribe directly through the Starz app or website, and Starz is also sold as an add-on channel through some streaming platforms and TV providers.

The standard monthly price on this page comes from a single news report by Cord Cutters News. During our check on Oct 11, 2026, the official Starz site showed only promotional offers, not the regular price. Promotional prices are published by Starz. Starz changes its offers often, so confirm the current price on the official Starz site before you sign up.

The standard plan is billed monthly and renews until you cancel.

At $11.99/mo, the regular plan gives you the full Starz catalog without ads. If you see a lower number on the Starz homepage, it is most likely a promotion for new subscribers, covered in the next section.

When we checked, the Starz site advertised two introductory offers.

One offer was $5/mo for the first three months. The site also showed a claim of offers starting at $4.99/mo. The terms behind each offer, including who qualifies and when it ends, were not part of what we recorded. After a promotion ends, the subscription normally renews at the standard rate, so note the date your intro period runs out.

Promotions like these may be limited to new subscribers or to people without an active plan. Read the offer terms before you sign up.

Starz raised its standard monthly price in June 2026. The figures below come from the same news report by Cord Cutters News.

Before the increase, the standard plan cost $10.99/mo. It now costs $11.99/mo. According to the report, the change took effect on June 8, 2026. Subscribers who signed up earlier can see their current renewal price in their account settings or in the app store where they subscribed.

You can subscribe in several ways, and the price may differ between them:

• Directly from Starz: through the Starz website or app. This is where the promotional offers above appear.
• As a channel add-on: through streaming platforms that sell premium channels, such as Amazon Prime Video Channels or other services with add-on stores. The add-on is billed by that platform, and pricing and promotions can be different from the direct price.
• Through a TV provider: some cable, satellite, and live TV streaming services offer Starz as a premium add-on. Price and availability depend on the provider.

Starz has also offered an annual billing option. We do not have a verified annual price, so check the official site if you plan to watch for a full year.

Starz works best if you want to follow specific Starz originals. Many people subscribe for the length of a season, watch, then cancel and come back later. Because the service is billed monthly, you only pay for the months you use.

If you already pay for several other streaming services, check whether one of them offers Starz as a channel add-on. That keeps the bill in one place, though the price may not be lower.

Sales tax may be added depending on your state. If you subscribe through an app store or another platform, that company handles billing and cancellation, so you need to cancel there rather than with Starz directly.
